We recommend using 15A PV fuses on the incoming PV cables.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEven though our controllers have a degree of built-in surge protection on both the AC and DC inputs, we also recommend adding additional surge protection in areas prone to lightning activity. On the DC side, use surge protectors closest to the maximum rating of the controller that you can find.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn the AC side, if you are not using our Digital Display and if you are planning to also connect AC to the controller, you will need some means of limiting the time that AC is made available.
